This sterling silver ring has an elegant, smooth, tapered band terminating in an innovative prong mounting into which you can set a 10mm round cut stone. This setting is formed out of a parallel U-shape so the prongs don't "quarter" the stone the way standard prong setting do. The notches here are placed on the inside corners of the prongs so more of your stone is visible at the outside edges, creating an illusion that enhances the apparent size of the stone. This setting can also, in a pinch, be set with a 6mm by 10mm baguette (rectangular with beveled corners).
